Benary’s Giant White Zinnia (Zinnia elegans ‘Benary’s Giant White’) produces massive, fully double, dahlia-style flowers in pure snowy white. Each bloom measures 4–6 inches across on long, sturdy stems that are ideal for cutting. This vigorous annual forms a tall, upright plant that stands up beautifully to summer heat, rain, and even light drought once established.
Prized by professional cut-flower growers for its high yield, excellent vase life, and improved disease resistance (especially powdery mildew), it’s a standout in sunny beds, borders, and large containers. Locally grown at Gilgen Farm in American Fork, Utah – these 3" potted plants are ready to transplant and bloom all season long.
Transplanting Instructions: Harden off plants for 7–10 days before planting. After all danger of frost has passed (typically mid-to-late May in Utah), plant in full sun in well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Space 12 inches apart. Water deeply after transplanting and keep soil evenly moist until established (about 2–3 weeks). Pinch young plants once they reach 6–8 inches tall to encourage branching and more blooms. Deadhead regularly for continuous flowering through fall. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize lightly every 4–6 weeks with a balanced organic fertilizer.
